Oil to Gas conversions

We specialise in fuel conversions, from Oil fired central heating to Gas fired central heating. We can remove your old oil boiler, oil line, oil tank and ancillary equipment associated with your existing installation.

The process is quite simple but may seem a daunting task to customers so below is a description of how it works.

The process works like so:

• Customer phones gas network’s Ireland to book for a new gas connection , approximate cost is €250.00
• Gas network’s provide a site survey and a location for the new gas meter.
• Gas network’s provide a date for installation which they will have acquired a license to open up the road and expose the gas main for a new connection.
• They will install the gas meter cabinet or box and leave a pipe capped off until the next step.

Where we come into the equation:

• We can, before or after complete the new boiler installation and the gas line from the new meter location to the boiler location.
• The gas line will be ready and tested for the next step.
• We will leave a RGI cert in the meter cabinet or meter box to state that the installation is safe for gas to be admitted.
• We instruct the customer to choose their gas supplier such as Bord Gais energy, Energia, Airtricty, jus to name a few and request a gas meter installation.
• The supplier will not install the new gas meter unless the RGI certificate is left for them.

Once the gas meter is installed , we will connect our pipe work and gas to the installation and commission and certify the appliances installed.
